Hyattsville Police Raise Money For Special Olympics

Cops on Roof Tops at the Mount Rainier Dunkin' Donuts raised over $5,000.

Dunkin’ Donuts, a proverbial haunt for police officers, hosted Hyattsville police officers last weekend in a fundraiser for Special Olympics Maryland.

According to the Hyattsville Fraternal Order of Police Facebook page, the Cops on Roof Tops at the Mount Rainier Dunkin' Donuts raised over $5,000.

Police participants went up on the roof at 6 a.m. on Saturday and didn't return until the 5K was raised.

The officers also worked to raise awareness of an annual Law Enforcement Torch Run also benefiting Special Olympics Maryland, an organization that provides children and adults with intellectual disabilities sports training and other opportunities throughout the year for free.
