FATAL STABBING UPDATE: Locals Talk About Thursday's Death at University Town CenterU

Prince George's County Police have no new information onaccording to Cpl. E. Johnson.

But some people who were working in the area around the plaza saw all they needed to.

Jeimy Garcia, an employee at Old Dominion Brewhouse, was working when the incident erupted outside the bar’s windows.

“I was the one who called the police,” she said, adding that someone she didn’t know came into the bar and told her about the fight. “I saw the guy who was stabbed.”

Garcia, of Riverdale, has worked at for about nine months. She said she was somewhat nervous when the stabbing happened last night, but she is not anxious about it today.

Anielka Urbina is a manager at . She was not on duty last night when Leonard R. Smith-Matthews was fatally stabbed, but the manager on duty then did not see anything, Urbina said.

Five Guys is located about a block south of the homicide location.

"Some people have been talking about that so maybe they are scared but I don’t know," Urbina said of the tenor of customers today.

Business was down slightly today, she said.
