Pedestrian Struck, Killed on CSX Tracks in Hyattsville

The accident occurred near the District 1 police headquarters.

Update, April 16, 5:10 p.m.: Cpl. Mike Rodriguez of the Prince George's County Police Department said he had seen no information about this case subsequent to the initial call for service. Rodriguez said he was not immediately aware of any updates.

Update, April 15, 9:30 p.m.: Additional calls to the PDPG have provided no information on this incident.

Original Post, April 15, 8 p.m.: Police are on the scene of a pedestrian fatality on the CSX railroad tracks near the Prince George's County Police District 1 headquarters at the corner of 43rd and Rhode Island avenues.

County police had no information about the incident as of 8:30 p.m. A CSX representative told Patch that there were three train delays due to the incident, with the longest being about an hour. The incident will be fully investigated.
