Police say image shows suspect in attempted robbery in downtown Hyattsville.
Hyattsville city police have released an image which they say depicts the suspect sought in an attempted robbery reported earlier this week at the Palette at Arts District Hyattsville apartment complex.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, standing 6 feet tall, sporting long dreadlocks pulled back and wearing a white tee-shirt.
The attempted robbery saw the suspect attack a woman in the parking garage of the apartment building, located at 5501 45th Avenue in downtown Hyattsville. The victim told police she was pushed to the ground, had a gun held to her head, and demanded money. She told him that she didn't have any money, according to police, and then began screaming. The suspect then took off on foot, running towards the rear of the building.
