A roundup of crimes reported to the Hyattsville Police Department.

Feb. 13

At the 3100 block of Hamilton Street, about 1:30 a.m., an unknown suspect implied he had a gun and robbed a convenience store in this area.

At the 3300 block of East West Highway, sometime between 2:45 and 4 p.m., someone stole a 1997 Nissan Maxima that had been parked at a home improvement store in this area. It was recovered in Bowie on Feb. 14.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 3:15 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

Feb. 14

At the 2600 block of Nicholson Street, sometime since Feb.12, someone stole the rear tag from a vehicle parked in this area.

At the 6700 block of Adelphi Road, about 1:45 a.m., a suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana.

At the 5300 block of Queens Chapel Road, about 7:30 a.m., an unknown suspect stole the victim’s purse from her vehicle while she was pumping gas.           

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 12:15 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 6:45 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, sometime between 6:30 and 10 p.m., someone broke out the driver’s side rear window and damaged the door lock of a vehicle parked there.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, sometime between 7 and 9:15 p.m., someone broke out the driver’s side front window and damaged the door lock of a vehicle parked there.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 9:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

 

Feb. 15

At the 3100 block of Gumwood Drive, sometime during the night, someone broke into a vehicle parked in this area and remove property.

At the 4600 block of Emerson Street, sometime during the night, someone stole a 1973 Volkswagen that had been parked in this area.

At the block of Belcrest Road, sometime during the night, someone broke into two offices in this area and removed property.

At the 4700 block of Rhode Island Avenue, sometime during the night, someone broke out a window of a business in this area.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, sometime between 10 and 11:15 a.m., someone entered a vehicle parked there and removed property.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 4:45 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 5 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the 6500 block of Adelphi Road, about 6 p.m., someone stole the victim’s purse while she was at the library.

 

Feb. 16

At the 4100 block of Oliver Street, sometime during the night, someone entered a vehicle parked in this area and removed property.

 

Feb. 17

At Magruder Park, about 12:30 p.m., it was found that someone had spray painted graffiti on a park sign.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 6:45 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside. It was also found that he had an open warrant through the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Department.

 

Feb. 18

At the 4100 block of Decatur Street, sometime between 8:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., someone attempted to break into a residence in this area by cutting window screens.

At 33rd Avenue and Nicholson Street, about 11:15 a.m., it was found that someone had used a marker to draw graffiti on a residential parking sign and a guardrail in this area.

At the 4100 block of Crittenden Street, sometime between 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m., someone broke into a residence in this area and removed property.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 5 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 6:45 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 8 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

 

Feb. 19

At the 2700 block of Kirkwood Place, about 2 a.m., an unknown suspect attempted to break into an apartment in this area by removing a screen and trying to pry open a window.
