Police Blotter: Feb. 20-26

Here is a list of the crimes reported to the Hyattsville Police.

Feb. 20           

At the 4200 block of Oglethorpe Street, sometime between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., someone stole a 2001 Dodge Intrepid that had been parked in this area. Prince George’s County Police recovered it on Feb. 21.

At the 4700 block of Rhode Island Avenue, sometime between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., someone stole the tags from a vehicle parked in this area.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 4 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 6 p.m., two suspects were arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the 5700 block of Jamestown Road, about 7 p.m., someone threw a rock through the dining room window of an apartment in this area.

Feb. 21

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 12:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

Feb. 22

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 1:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the 5800 block of 33rd Place, about 1:45 p.m., two unknown suspects broke out the passenger side rear window of a vehicle parked in this area.

At Magruder Park, about 4:30 p.m., a victim was robbed by three suspects as he was walking through the park.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, sometime between 6 and 7:30 p.m., someone stole a victim’s wallet from a locker at the fitness center inside.

Feb. 23

At the 4900 block of 42nd Place, sometime during the night, someone stole a bicycle from under the front porch of a residence in this area.

At the 4000 block of Madison Street, sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., someone broke into a residence in this area. It did not appear that anything had been taken.

At the 5800 block of 40th Avenue, sometime between 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., someone broke into a residence in this area and removed property.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, sometime between 3 and 3:45 p.m., someone entered a vehicle parked here and removed property.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 5 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the 3300 block of East West Highway, about 5:45 p.m., someone broke out a window in the gym area of an apartment complex in this area.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 6:45 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

Feb. 24

At the 3900 block of Oneida Place, sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., someone broke into a residence in this area and removed property.

At the 5700 block of 43rd Avenue, sometime from 10 p.m. on Feb. 23 to 12:30 someone stole a 1996 Honda Accord that had been parked in this area. The vehicle was recovered after it was abandoned following an accident in the 4400 block of Oglethorpe Street.

At the 5800 block of Queens Chapel Road, about 11 a.m., two unknown suspects entered an apartment in this area, displayed a handgun, tied up the victim and fled with property from the apartment.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 2:45 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 8:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

Feb. 25

At the 2600 block of Kirkwood Place, sometime during the night, someone broke out the rear window of a vehicle parked in this area.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 6:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

Feb. 26

At the 4200 block of Queensbury Road, sometime during the night, someone broke out the rear window of a vehicle parked in this area.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 7 a.m., a suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct.

At the 3300 block of East West Highway, about 8 a.m., a suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct at a home improvement store in this area.

At the 3600 block of East West Highway, about noon, an unknown suspect stole merchandise from a store in this area.

At the 3100 block of Kimberly Road, about 2:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct following a neighbor dispute over a parking space.

At the Mall at Prince George’s, about 8:15 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store inside.

At the 5700 block of Jamestown Road, about 11:30 p.m., an unknown suspect broke into an apartment in this area through a bedroom window. When confronted by the residents, the suspect fled. It was later found that the suspect had stolen keys from the apartment and taken the victim’s vehicle.
