Police, Marines Gather at Toys For Tots Event this Weekend in Prince George's County
PGPD said more than 30,000 tots will be given out this weekend.
The county police department's community services division and members of the United States Marine Corps Reserves will host the “Toys for Tots” program this weekend in Prince George’s County.
The “Toys for Tots” program collects new, unwrapped toys and gives them out as Christmas gifts to children in need during the holiday season. More than 30,000 toys will be distributed this weekend, a PGPD press release stated.
The collection will be held at county police headquarters on Barlowe Road. Hours are:

- 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday
- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday
Barry L. Stanton, deputy chief administrative officer for public safety and Chief of Police will be on hand Saturday morning to help distribute toys to participating families.
