Sheriff's Snag Stabbing Suspect

Police say Michael Darnell Brown stabbed a Hyattsville man multiple times in the back on Saturday during an argument turned violent.

The Prince George’s County Sheriff's Office has arrested a suspect on
charges stemming from a weekend stabbing in Hyattsville.
filed a warrant charging Michael Darnell Brown
with attempted murder after they say he stabbed a man at his home after an
argument became violent on Saturday, Jan. 14. The victim was transported
to Washington Hospital Center where he was treated for his injuries.

Brown was arrested without incident on Sunday, January 15 by county
sheriff's deputies in Fort Washington.

Brown stands charged with first-degree attempted murder. He is currently
being held behind bars without bond with the county department of
corrections.

Corporal William Milam, public information officer with the county sheriff's
department, was away from his office when contacted for more information
and was unable to comment in depth on the charges.
