Campos Reveals He Received Anti-Hispanic Hate Email

Emails described Hispanics as cockroaches, according to report.

Prince George's County Council member Will Campos (District 2) said on Prince George's Community Television that he has been the recipient of hate email.

Campos, who is Hispanic, showed some of the emails to PGCTV reporters. The emails reportedly described Hispanics as "cockroaches" who immigrate for the sole purpose of giving birth to their children in America.

"It goes to show you that there is still a huge education barrier that we need to surpass, from both sides, both American-born citizens, whether you are white, African-American, Aisan-American, and immigrants, whether you are from Africa or Latin America," Campos told PGCTV. "We still have enough of a cultural gap that we need to overcome, so that we don't have all this negativity based on ignorance."

Campos told PGCTV he has not reported the emails to police because he doesn't feel they are personally threatening.
