Hyattsville officials want to know what you think next year's budget priorities should be.

The Hyattsville City Council will be holding an extended public comment session tonight during its meeting to gather feedback from residents about budget priorities in the upcoming fiscal year.

"Early input is vital. While the final vote to adopt the budget will not take place until May 2013, much of the planning takes place in January, February, and March," reads an announcement posted to the city's website on Friday.

The next fiscal year begins on July 1, 2013.
