City Welcomes Two New Interns To Staff

The Hyattsville City Council officially welcomed two new student interns who hail from Korea to the city's staff at their meeting on Tuesday.

The city administration welcomed two new interns at Tuesday's City Council meeting.

The two interns are from Korea and said they were excited to be working with the city's government.

Volunteer coordinator Colleen Aistis introduced the interns who have literally come across the world to work in Hyattsville.

Ye Bin Jeong is an economics and business major at Sookmyung Women's University and will be working in the Office of Community Development. And Ahn Junghyun is a law student at the Sung Kyun Kwan University and will be working in the Office of the City Clerk.

They are both participants in the Association of International Practical Training, Korea WEST program. The interns started in August and are scheduled to complete their service in February of 2012.
