Doc Drop: Council Agenda - April 2, 2012

See what's slated at tonight's Hyattsville City Council meeting.

The Hyattsville City Council meets tonight to discuss, among other things, a new procurement policy. You can read more about that here. 

Table games in Prince George's County has been a hot topic of late ever since County Executive Rushern Baker proposed locating a Tonight, Brad Frome, Baker's deputy chief of staff, will come before the Hyattsville City Council to give a brief presentation regarding gambling in the county. 

Staff from Baker's office will also give the council an update on the status of county race relations when Prince George's County's Director of Human Relations Michael Lyles steps to the podium following Frome's presentation.

In the consent agenda, the City Council will vote to send a letter supporting a management funding request for the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area pending before the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority Office of Preservation Planning. Also in the consent agenda is a contract to replace the windows at the Hyattsville Municipal Building. 

All in all, it doesn't look like too long of a meeting, but we know those are famous last words.

The meeting begins at 8 p.m. at the Hyattsville Municipal Building at 4310 Gallatin Street in the third floor council chambers. The meeting is also televised on Comcast Channel 71 and Verizon Channel 12.
