Doc Drop: Council Agenda - Jan 23. 2012

Mayor Marc Tartaro slates discussion for upcoming city budget negotiations and a closed session to discuss personnel issues. Read the full agenda and packet here.

The Hyattsville City Council meets tonight in regular session to kick off the annual budget season. The session gets started at 8 p.m. at The full agenda and packet are available for review in the gallery above this article.

Mayor Marc Tartaro has slated an hour on the agenda to discuss the fiscal year 2013 budget process. There's not a lot of documentation available in the packet on his presentation–the vast majority of the 31 page packet is taken up with prior minutes and documents relating to one Hyattsville resident's request before the county zoning appeals board to build a sunroom onto his house–however, the agenda indicates the discussion will touch on "city-wide goals, objectives and performance measures."

Tartaro also has on the agenda a motion to enter closed session to discuss personnel issues.

Prior to the formal council session, city leaders will also gather for a community meeting to discuss infrastructure improvements in the area of Banner, Buchanan and Crittenden streets and 40th avenue. The infrastructure improvement community meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Prangley Room at Hyattsville's municipal building.
