It's the first Hyattsville City Council meeting after the summer recess, and work has piled up for elected officials. As a result, tonight's council packet is a dense one. Among the items the city council will be considering are:
- Letter of support for the relocation of the Art Works Studio School to southern Hyattsville in the old Marche Florists building.
- Improvements to Hyatt Park playground
- Additional bicycle and pedestrian improvements, i.e., Phase II of the city's Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvement plan. We've covered the plan before, with maps of each proposed phase of the plan.
- The proposed censure of Mayor Marc Tartaro
- A closed session to discuss contract matters and potential liability issues, which always sounds like something the public should be interested in.
