Hometown: New York, NY. Raised in San Francisco, CA

Qualifications: "I’m not actually qualified to administer the millions of dollars this town turns around every year. I'd hoped by my example and willingness to run, other citizens with these qualifications might enter this race of only three candidates."

Three most important city issues and how to address them:

1) "Improve civic works results throughout town--sidewalks, roads, drainage projects--while ending the wasteful inefficient misuse of public monies on these projects."

2) "Minimize the City Council, abbreviate meetings, pay the mayor a professional wage making it a real job so results can be demanded by all of us citizens."

3) "Promote existing local small businesses. Avoid anymore future development that doesn't actually improve the community."

I think we should all follow Brophy off that diving board. For someone who clearly doesn't want the job, I think we should vote him into office so he can live out the next four years in poverty.

Brophy doesn't need to win the election because he has already won for best candidate picture. Are those pajamas? Made out of a gingham table cloth from an old-school Italian restaurant?! We should all be so lucky to have such a picture.

That picture is pretty popular. I believe it was featured on the DCist blog when it was taken and it was also part of their yearly photography exhibit.
