Three most important city issues and how to address them:
1) Quality Development
“Making sure that we have quality development. We tend to have to send back designs a lot of the time to get the quality worked on, and the next thing I guess is development that doesn’t overcrowd our city, that doesn’t promote overcrowding in the city. I have a great desire for development projects [like the Jack and Jill property] to be developed into something residents can use and enjoy.”
2) Top Notch City Services
“Snow removal, trash pickup, police response times. Those types of things are very important to me, that the qualities of those are always top notch.”
3) Use of the BB&T Building
“That is one of my most important concerns right now: making sure the BB&T building is used for something that benefits all of the community, something all aspects of the community, all age groups can use and benefit from.”
