Feedback Sought on Purple Line

Meeting tonight in Hyattsville to seek input from residents about Purple Line infrastructure.

The Prince George's Count Planning Department is looking to hear local voices as it sets about designing the concept plans infrastructure. A community meeting will be held tonight at the Hyattsville Library on Adelphi Road at 6:30 p.m.

The Purple Line, a proposed light-rail connection between Silver Spring and New Carrollton's metro stations, is planned to have five stations in our area: Riverdale Road, Riverdale Park, M Square, the University of Maryland and West Campus.

The planning department will be presenting preliminary concept plans for those stations, as well as discussing how the stations will interact with their urban surroundings.
