Gateway Arts Launches Art, Biz Directory

Local arts organization website now features pages for local artists, studios and businesses.

Local artists and businesses now have a new way to reach each other and the public.

The Gateway Arts District has launched a new directory for local artists and businesses on its website, MyGatewayArts.org. It's designed to be a search and marketing tool for artists, designers and other arts-related businesses in the Gateway Arts District.

Justin Fair, a local artist and one of the administrators of the Gateway Arts District directory said that anyone who considers themselves an artist is welcome to add their name to the site so long as they live or work in the area.

"The goal is to make it a community tool for anyone who lives in our area, anyone who is important in the surrounding vicinity," said Fair in an interview.

Artists and businesses who register with the directory will be able to post events, real estate, calls for artists and links to online art resources for users to peruse. The site includes a map of available studio space in the area.

So far the site has garnered about two-dozen local artists and seven studio properties listings.

Interested artists can sign up for the directory using this online form.
