New Hyattsville Council Members Sworn In

Six new city council members to be sworn in tonight.

UPDATE - "It's official!" Announced Hyattsville Mayor Marc Tartaro. He was speaking just after the the Hyattsville City Council formally certified the results of the city's May 7 election during the first of two council meetings slated for tonight. 

Then shortly before 7:30 p.m., as the old city council wrapped up its final meeting and bid farewell to five departing members, Mayor Marc Tartaro issued the oath of office to the six new members of the Hyattsville City Council. 

Currently, the city council is in receess until 8 p.m. when the new council takes the dais for the first time.
