Hyattsville Council Plans to Offer Police Chief Additional Pay

Chief Douglas Holland has been serving as acting city administrator and police chief since Oct. 10. The council's meeting agenda includes a motion to give him $10,000 for each 90 days of his service in that capacity.

Tonight’s meeting agenda includes a motion to give $10,000 beyond his regular pay for every 90 days that .

Holland, the city’s police chief, has been serving in this role since Oct. 10, after former city administrator early.

Monday night’s motion, which is sponsored by , states that Holland will receive the additional pay until a new administrator is found, or until May 15.
