Hyattsville Council Plans to Offer Police Chief Additional Pay

Tonight’s meeting agenda includes a motion to give $10,000 beyond his regular pay for every 90 days that .

Holland, the city’s police chief, has been serving in this role since Oct. 10, after former city administrator early.

Monday night’s motion, which is sponsored by , states that Holland will receive the additional pay until a new administrator is found, or until May 15.

Holland put forth a and presented that to the city council at a November meeting.

Other items on tonight’s agenda include:

• A 3 percent increase in Holland’s salary retroactive to Oct. 1;

• A presentation from Mount Rainier Mayor Malinda Miles about signage at the station;
