Hyattsville Councilman Accuses Mayor of Withholding Information
Tartaro said that he was on vacation and out of the country at the time of the request and he had limited access to email.
Infighting was apparent at the beginning of a meeting Aug. 22 after Councilman Timothy P. Hunt (Ward 3) accused Mayor Marc Tartaro of withholding important information about a personnel issue planned to be discussed in a closed session after the meeting.
Two other council members asked for information on the issue while Tartaro was on vacation out of the country.
According to Hunt, he and the other two council members sent an e-mail to Tartaro, and the mayor only responded to one by saying the information requested was too large and was asked for in too short of notice.
