Hyattsville Moving Forward on Speed Camera Program

Speeders beware: in the coming months it's likely cameras will be fully operational to ticket drivers going more than 12 miles per hour over the posted limit.

The Hyattsville City Council is putting pedal to the metal with its oncoming , hoping to have fully functioning cameras up within the next four months.

Hyattsville's program would be in line with state law and dole out tickets to those going more than 12 miles per hour over the posted speed limit, a Gazette report states.

Fines will not exceed $40, police chief Douglas Holland stated at a recent meeting, the article states.
