Seeking Questions for Hyattsville Candidates

As Hyattsville's biennial election campaign filing season prepares to wind down (the deadline to file is a little more than a week away, as of this writing), the attention of city voters turns to evaluating the slate of candidates running this year. 

And for this local journalist, the attention turns to providing you with the coverage necessary to make an informed decision about who you want your next municipal leaders to be. 

A big part of that effort will be determining what questions you, the reader, have for Hyattsville's political hopefuls. 

I mean that quite literally. 

Once the candidate filing season closes, I will be sending a questionnaire to each council candidate soliciting responses to questions submitted by Hyattsville Patch's readership on the comment thread below. The best questions will be chosen for inclusion in the questionnaire.

Since there are no at-large seats up for election this year (the mayor won't face election until 2015), I'd like to create questionnaires for each ward addressing both city-wide and ward-specific topics. 

I invite you all to look around your block, your neighborhood and your city and think up questions which you might like Hyattsville's council candidates to answer. If you conjure up a particularly insightful question, please, post it in the comment thread below. Please indicate if you think your question should be addressed to all candidates or to specific wards.
