Purple Line Planning Meeting In Hyattsville Wednesday
The county planning department will meet at the Hyattsville Library tonight to discuss Purple Line plans.

Because tonight the Prince George's County Planning Department is holding a public meeting to allow residents and business representatives to contribute to the Purple Line conversation.
In , Maryland received federal approval to proceed with preliminary engineering and environmental impact studies for the purple line light rail project that will stretch from Bethesda to New Carrollton.

As part of that work, the National Capital Park and Planning Commision (M-NCPPC) is holding community meetings to figure out where the best places would be to put five purple line stations.
One location under consideration is the West Campus area of the University of Maryland, which will be the closest station to Hyattsville residents.
