"As Deputy Chief of Staff to County Executive Baker, I have been involved in this issue from day one and can provide the Administration’s perspective as to why a yes vote would be a positive development for the County," reads an email from Frome and signed by him and Niemann. "In the interest of fairness as this view is not shared by all, I have asked Delegate Doyle Niemann to join me to present his view as to why a no vote is more appropriate."

Each side will present their arguments for between 15 and 20 minutes. After that, the audience will be able to ask questions, town hall style, with each side getting an opportunity to respond to each question while alternating who answers the questions first.

Frome said he expects the debate to be civil affair.

"We are not looking to have a knock down drag out fight, like many of the other debates we see these days, but more of a discussion laying out our respective views on the issue," wrote Frome.

It is literally and figuratively a town hall debate, too. The discussion is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. today at the Hyattsville Municipal Building at 4310 Gallatin Street.

Voters will decide on Question 7 in less than two weeks when election day rolls around on Nov. 6.
