U.S. Marshals Make Arrest in Langley Park Stabbing
Suspect allegedly stabbed ex-girlfriend with kitchen knife.
U.S. Marshals in New Jersey have arrested a man charged with attempted second-degree murder stemming from a violent incident in Langley Park last month.
According to a press release issued yesterday by the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office, Langley Park resident Carlos Monge-Martinez was arrested on May 7 in Red Bank, New Jersey. He is currently awaiting extradition to Prince George's County.
According to police, Monge-Martinez stabbed his ex-girlfriend with a kitchen knife and then tried to stab a man during a fight which occured in the 7900 block of 18th Avenue in Langley Park on April 23.

In addition to attempted second-degree murder charges, Monge-Martinez also stands charged with two counts of first and second-degree assault and one count of reckless endangerment.
