University Park Council Says "No Crossing, No Cafritz"

Town officials won't support the Riverdale Park development without another bridge over the CSX tracks.

University Park's Town Council is hedging its support of the proposed Cafritz development on the building out of an additional crossing of the CSX railroad tracks.

I agree about another bridge over csx tracks. Years ago prior to the closing of Queens Chaple rd., the state and the master plan recommended building such bridge to continue Queens Chaple east to the intersection at calvert & goodluck rd. It would also reconnect in east riverdale at the intersection of 410. That was killed due to the County Exec. became Governor during that period. UP found a surplus state road which became a private
Community street. Now UP wants a bridge...well well How about all the people that lost their state road and had to drive an extra 5 to 7 minutes in their commute to their non private community. If UP wants a bridge then we should get our state rd back too. That would also give UP additional ways out of their private community.
