Become a Foster Parent- Make a Difference

It requires an amazing person to want to be a foster parent—thank you for being one of those people! It takes a village to raise a child and WIN Family Services sincerely appreciates your passion for wanting to join our village and help children and families in Maryland.  We are a faith-based, treatment child placement agency that utilizes a holistic approach to healing at-risk youth and their families.  We need compassionate adults like you to nurture and love our young people.  There are many children referred to us by the Department of Social Services who are engulfed in pain, bred in harmful environments, and in desperate need of love and nurturance.  The entire WIN family appreciates that you who are willing to complete the certification process so that we can help even more children!

The motto most central to what we do is:  “WE DON’T GIVE UP ON FAMILIES!”  WIN serves youth who are between the ages of birth and 21 years old—the typical youth is 14 and older.  In need of therapeutic treatment services, our youth are emotionally challenged, with a background of verbal, physical, and/or sexual abuse.  Their birth families are often challenged with many socioeconomic needs as well.  As an agency, we work to nurture and provide therapeutic treatment for these families.  Through prayer, skill, and love we have helped to successfully reunite and provide desperately needed mental health and mentoring services for these families.

You are cordially invited to join WIN and other like-minded caregivers at our next Family Strengthening Pre-Service Trainings.  The first step in our Host Parent Pre-Certification process is successful completion of this training.  We know that you will be personally blessed by our strength-based, spiritually validated approach to human services.  The training is presented over consecutive sessions.
