Five Things You Need To Know Today (The Hy-Five)

Another week has gone by and we’re expecting a cooler weekend, Hyattsville! Here are five things you need to know today:

1. Chance of T-storms and a high of 93 for today and tonight. Same thing on Saturday (87 degrees) and Sunday (71 degrees). Doesn’t look like a great weekend for the pool, but it might not be a bad time to get working on the newest summer novel.

3. Next week is senior week at First United Methodist Church of Hyattsville. There will be a movie day/night as well as a senior ball. Check with the church for updates as they come.

5. The Northwestern High School Music Department Awards dinner that was scheduled for June 14 has been moved to June 15. The dinner will be held at 7 p.m. at the school’s food court. Awards will be given to music department members, parents and supporters. All are invited to attend.
