1. It’s the kids last week of summer, in case you haven’t gotten around to enrolling them in school yet, (it was next on your list, we know!) is having open enrollment from 9am to 3pm today.

2. There will be a FREE summer concert on the lawn of the featuring the infamous jazz band, Cheek to Cheek from 7-8pm. Bring a blanket, lawn chair, and your appetite. Dinner is available for purchase from 3:30-7:00pm at the Riversdale Famers Market or onsite at The Calvert House.

 

3. While the high for today is in the upper 80s, bring back out your galoshes, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon.

 

4. On this day in 1920, Tennessee ratified the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, guaranteeing women the right to vote.

 

5. If you watch the sky tonight you can catch the moon passing Jupiter and the constellations of Pisces and Taurus.
