  • A book sale and uniform swap is coming up from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 9.
  • A native plant sale will be held on May 14-15. “I think this year will be more fun and more of a success because we’ve learned a lot,” said Bart Lawrence, PTA president.

On another note, a new federal law called the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act requires that students be given 30 minutes for lunch, with at least 20 of them being actual time to eat.

Principal Jeanne Washburn said with time to get back and forth from class, the whole process would probably take 40 minutes, which cuts into class time.
