Last Chance: Early Voting, a Lenten Fish Fry, and More

This Friday marks the last night of St. Jerome's annual Lenten fish fry.

Here's a quick round up of some last minute opportunities and looming deadlines in the communinty this week: 

  •  and ends this Thursday. Hyattsville residents can head over to the , or any of four other sites in Prince George's County. More information can be found here.
  • Celebrators of Lent and lovers of fish frys have but one more chance to feast in support of St. Jerome Academy at their annual . Friday, March 30, will be the last night for this year's event.The fish fry will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at , 5205 43rd Ave, Hyattsville, in the school cafeteria across from the church.  The cost is $5 for a child meal and $7 for an adult meal. All proceeds benefit St. Jerome Academy.
  • This Friday, March 30, also marks the deadline for area fourth greaders to enter the Maryland Municipal League's 2012 “If I were Mayor, I would…” essay contest. The winners will be recognized by Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown in public ceremony on Friday, May 20, at the Maryland State House. Enter on the Maryland Municipal League's contest page.
