Locals Heading to Promise Rally

A contingent from Hyattsville is heading to Annapolis to support local educators.

On March 14 at 6 p.m., Hyattsville-area supporters of local schools, educators, police, health care workers, public employees, and community members from around Maryland will march on Annapolis asking legislators to kill proposed cuts to public schools and services.

The MESA is holding a Promise Rally in an effort to persuade law makers not to slash funding for the state school system--which has been rated #1 in the country.
