Northwestern's Paschal Recognized For Contributions To Education
Tameka Paschal was one of three from Prince George's County Public Schools to be selected for the "Forty under 40" awards.
Tameka Paschal, a math teacher at Northwestern, was one of three people from Prince George's County Public Schools to receive the Social Innovation Fund's inaugural "Forty under 40" award.
Paschal has taught mathematics for 17 years and serves as department chairperson at Northwestern, according to a press release issued for the awards. She has also coached basketball, soccer, softball and football. She was named "Coach of the Year" in 2007.

Other winners of the award from Prince George's were Edward Burroughs, the 19-year-old county board of education member, and Nakia Nicholoson, the Fairmont Heights high school principal.
The awards were to recognize the educational talent that exists in Prince George's County.
