School History, Dog Art Events Set for Today

Hyattsville Elementary School Turns 95, Dogs Take Up Art

Two community events take place this morning which could be of interest to locals.

Art Goes to the Dogs

There is the Dogs for the Arts Celebration at Magruder Park. Beginning at 9:30 a.m., the event tries, as the name suggests, to get your canine involved in high culture (and maybe some hijinks, too). There will be paw painting, a doggy costume contest, a dog and owner look alike contest and a doggy talent contest.
