Spectacular Saturdays

Hear about Negro League baseball great, Mamie Johnson,

the first woman to pitch professional baseball in a men's league.  Michelle Y. Green is the author of a juvenile book,

"A Strong Right Arm; The Story of Mamie Peanut Johnson".

Ms. Green will read her book and share stories about Ms. Johnson.  The  program also will include an opportunity to view the exhibit at Marietta focusing on Negro League baseball.  The program is geared to young people in elementary and secondary school, although adults are most welcome to take part.  Refreshments will be served.

The program is free to young people; the fee for adults is $5 each.  Reservations are not necessary.
