The Common Offers A July 4 Family Buffet & Private Fireworks Viewing

The Common restaurant and pub offers a family-style buffet dinner to celebrate Independence Day on Thursday, July 4, 2013. After dinner, guests have access to a private outdoor viewing area to enjoy the fireworks show put on by the University of Maryland, College Park. Dinner buffet is available from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

A delicious menu of mouth-watering summer favorites includes: Caesar Salad, Garden Salad, Fingerling Potato Salad with Mustard Dressing, Slaw Salad with Celery Dressing, BBQ Short Ribs, Country Fried Chicken, Grilled Vegetables, Mashed Potatoes, Cream of Corn, dinner rolls and sodas. The kids’ buffet features: Cheeseburger Sliders, Grilled chicken Fingers, Mac and Cheese and Curly Fries. Save room for luscious desserts, including: Apple Pie, Key Lime Pie, Watermelon Wedges, Fresh Berries, Whipped Cream, Cookies and Brownies.

This special family dinner buffet is $14.95 plus tax for adults and $8.95 plus tax for children ages 6 to 12. Children under 6 are admitted free. Free garage parking is available. Guests must make a reservation through The Common's website, www.TheCommonCollegePark.com, and use the Open Table reservation option, or call 301-985-7300.

The fireworks are scheduled to begin between 9:10 and 9:40 p.m. on July 4. The Common cannot guarantee that the fireworks will take place due to the weather or any other occurrence. Rain date for the fire works in Friday July 5, 2013.  If the fireworks are rained out on Thursday, special seating will still be available on the rain date (Friday, July 5).  Price quoted is for the dinner only; there is no charge for the fireworks display, which is a public event.
