Halloween Haunted Trail When: Fridays and Saturdays in October, through Nov. 2 Where: Fairhaven School, 17900 Queen Anne Rd, Upper Marlboro Details: Strange events have been reported in the area surrounding the Patuxent River. Are you brave enough to investigate these claims? Join other seekers in search of the truth. Ticket prices are $12 for ages 13 and up; $6 for ages 8-12; children 7 and under are free. Field of Lost Souls When: Fridays and Saturday in October, plus Oct. 31 Where: Greenstreet Gardens, 391 West Bay Front Rd., Lothian Details: Take a spooky stroll through the haunted fields of Greenstreet Gardens in Lothian, trolled by the dead (live actors) who crave the essence of human life. Tickets are $15.
Haunted Holy Grounds When: Oct. 25-27 Where: Severna Park Community Center, 623 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. Details: This haunt features a guided tour through a bunch of different rooms with live actors and surprises at every turn.
Bennett's Curse When: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October with special shows the week of Halloween Where: Blobs Park, 8024 Max Blobs Park Rd., Jessup Details: Voted one of America's scariest haunted houses by the Travel Channel, Bennet's Curse features three haunted houses under one roof. Zombies, vampires and the downright insane promise to scare the daylights out of attendees.
Haunted Hangar When: Oct. 26 Where: College Park Aviation Museum, 1985 Corporal Frank Scott Dr., College Park Details: Children are invited to wear their costumes, make spooky crafts and and enjoy Halloween themed treats. Free with museum entry fee.
Haunted Tween Night When: Oct. 11 Where: Xpress It Studio, 1286 MD Rt. 3 South, Crofton Details: Tweens pay for the price of the piece(s) that they paint (no studio fees) and a $5 "cover charge" that covers pizza and drinks. There will be a special "haunted" theme Friday, no costumes required.
