The webcam went back online Thursday morning, and viewers could see a noticeably larger cub with a full black and white coat moving about near its mother, Mei Xiang.

Zoo spokeswoman Pamela Baker-Masson told the Associated Press the zoo reached its limit of 850 connections at one time shortly after the cameras went live, which occurred as the result of the re-opening of the government following a 16-day shutdown.

The zoo on Connecticut Avenue in Washington is set to be open Friday.
