1. First, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Andrew Metcalf, I've been working for Patch for about six months in Rhode Island and recently moved down to the D.C. area. I will be guest editing the site for Sarah Nemeth until Sunday. 2. Tonight is the first Republican presidential debate that will feature Texas Governor Rick Perry. Despite wildfires raging in Texas, he plans on debating. The Washington Post reports that Perry has surged past Mitt Romney and significantly diminished the prospects of Michele Bachmann. 3. The report on a survey of Hyattsville residents' satisfaction with a number of city services was released yesterday before the City Council Meeting. Five Things You Need to Know Today

City Hall debate, Yogi Castle now open and PG Pool now taking membership applications for the summer.

Morning, Hyattsville! Here are today's five things you need to know. 1. At 7:30 p.m. tonight at City Hall here will be a candidates debate for the 13 residents running for office in the May 3 municipal elections. Flawn Williams will moderate. 2. This month at Community Forklift there are a mass of sales including a 10-cent sale for granite scraps. See the website for all the deals. 3. There's a Palm Sunday brunch at First United Methodist Church from 1 to 4 p.m. this weekend. Call the church to make reservations. 4. Yogi Castle yogurt shop is now open at EYA's Arts District Hyattsville. You can get free samples from 5 to 8 p.m. this Friday during the store's grand opening. 5. 2011 membership applications are now being taken for the Prince …
