Northwestern Student Wows With Mockingbird Rap

Freshman high schooler Ikechukwu "Ike" Ogwuegbu demonstrates lyrical skills with hip-hop book report.

Northwestern High School ninth grader Ikechukwu Ogwuegbu did something that a lot of high school kids have to do: he read To Kill a Mockingbird as part of his English class.  Then, after that, Ogwuegbu did something that not a lot of high school kids do: he made a rap song about it. Ma'am, with all due respect, I am reporting the facts. The Maryland Department of Planning and the United States Census Bureau all say that Lewisdale is a part of Chillum. When it comes to location I use the MDP and the USCB boundaries–and only those boundaries–as my reference. Lewisdale is a neighborhood within the census designated place of Chillum. Anything else is simply unofficial line-…   more ›
