Update: Tornado Warning Issued for Pr. George's
Storm could bring powerful winds and lots of rain to area over the next few hours.
UPDATE - 3:26 p.m. - The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for Northern Prince George's County in effect until 3:45 p.m. At 3:16 p.m., NWS officials spotted a severe thunderstorm near Takoma Park. The storm was moving northeast at 45 mph, and could be capable of producing tornados. Locations which could be impacted by this storm include Chillum, Beltsville and Fairland. NWS officials are warning residents to take cover inside an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy buildings. If outdoors, take cover under the nearest shelter.
