Effie Kalapothakos, Neighbor

Hello all, my name is Effie Kalapothakos and I have been living in Hyattsville for about two years now. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree from University of Maryland University College and hoping to navigate through the metropolitan area a lot more as I find that I haven’t seen much in my twenty-something years in the area.

I have lived in Maryland my entire life, but can honestly say that Hyattsville was quite a foreign land to me until I decided to move here with my husband. I love the fact that many things like grocery shopping, metro access, and great restaurants are just foot steps away. I can also say that I have a little crush on the art district neighborhood and shopping center bringing so many new things to the area.
