Be careful of the smart meters, I did not want one attached to my house, but they did it anyway without letting me know, I had requested that no one put one on my house, but I Pepco is bigger and richer than me. My voice didn't count, My neighbor's house was damaged by a repair person installing a smart meter. there was a fire and it burned the wiring up all through his house, Walls have to be removed to replace the electrical wiring, I am sure Pepco will say it isn't their fault, but I wonder why it happened at the moment this person tried to attached a new smart meter. Pooof it sizzeled and now my neighbor is living in a Pop up trailer in the back yard of his house until it is repaired, Not sure what Pepco is contributing to his repairs, but it is so inconvient for this person , and he is elderly, Just my opinion and comment of free speech.
