This column will be dedicated to giving you five great local deals each week that will help your family’s bottom line, and since we do the scouting for you, you can save time as well as money.

Sign up to receive weekly deals, especially ones tailored to family such as this weekend’s Baltimore area deal, $25 for $50 worth of merchandise from Babies 1st.

Janel recommended this site in the comments section a few posts back. Offering local deals on family events and classes, this week’s deal is $11 per person for an Urban Pirates Family Adventure ticket in Baltimore.

Sign up for this great site and it pulls the top eight deals in the area. These are coupons available for printing and even shows you the day’s local deals from Groupon and Living Social. Places to eat, entertainment, even beauty and other services, including a $99 new patient special for Kiddie Cavity Care. A one-stop-shop for deals.

Target

As if shopping at Target wasn’t already easy, they’ve now come up with a way to make shopping for what you want even easier. Check out the demo here to customize the weekly ad for the things that you want to buy. It will alert you to deals and you can check out the sales by the categories you want. 

Kohl’s

Feeling lucky? Dress the part with these adorable St. Patrick’s Day outfits and pajamas from Kohl’s. Have a large Irish brood to buy for? Free standard shipping when you spend $75 or more. While you are there, stop to nominate a kid for the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship program.
